Olivier Vernon had one of his best games of the season against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, recording one sack and a handful of pressures on Tony Romo.
His performance was especially impressive with it coming against Tyron Smith, one of the best left tackles in the NFL. He helped hold the Cowboys offense in check for much of the game, but Dallas was able to pull away late.
The Miami Dolphins' latest loss dropped their record to 4-6 as they now sit in last place in the AFC East, which obviously doesn't sit well with the players.
“It made me a little sick to lose like that in that fashion,” Vernon said via James Walker of ESPN. “But we just gotta change it around. We only got six games left. This season is going to fly by real fast, and we gotta do something about it.”
The Dolphins' season is indeed ending soon with each loss making it come to a close even quicker. If they hope to salvage their year, it'll need to happen soon. Their next challenge comes against the New York Jets on Sunday with a loss all but diminishing their playoff hopes.
