Dolphins HC Dan Campbell 'extremely excited' about recent moves
It's been a shaky season for the Miami Dolphins thus far, but changes have been made on the coaching staff and better days are expected.
Interim head coach Dan Campbell has already begun shifting his staff, with the biggest move coming on Thursday. The Dolphins fired defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle and replaced him with defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo.
The Dolphins' defense had mustered just one sack in four games, which is particularly disappointing for a team that features Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake, and Olivier Vernon. In wake of the recent changes, Campbell is excited about where the team is headed.
"I'm extremely excited," he said on Thursday's conference call, via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. "I feel like this is where we need to go moving forward. I feel like it's a move that will help us win games."
The Dolphins will have to wait an extra week to see the impact of Coyle's departure as they're currently on their bye, but there's a sense of excitement in Miami.
