Donovan's 32: Sanchez's steady play has Eagles flying high

Published Dec. 2, 2014 11:23 a.m. ET

1. Packers - Aaron Rodgers may have gotten the best of Tom Brady, but it's Green Bay's defense that vaulted them into the top spot.

2. Broncos - Not like Peyton Manning needed another weapon in Denver, but he seems to have one in C.J. Anderson.

3. Patriots - Gave the Packers all they could handle. If they can lock up home field in the playoffs, watch out.

4. Eagles - Mark Sanchez playing mistake-free gives them a great chance against anyone.

5. Colts - Andrew Luck racks up 4,000-plus passing yards for the second time in his first three years (only Manning and Dan Marino can match that).

6. Cowboys - Not the way you want to play in front of the home crowd on Thanksgiving. They'll get a chance to bounce back this week in Chicago.

7. Ravens - Defense is giving up entirely too many yards against the pass (273.9 per game, No. 31 in the NFL)

8. Seahawks - No. 1 defense in the NFL, but the offense still needs more explosive plays in the passing game.

9. Chiefs - Played inspired football after the loss of Eric Berry, just not good enough to beat the Broncos.

10. Cardinals - Exposed on both sides by the lowly Falcons. Patrick Peterson may want to think twice about talking trash to Julio Jones.

11. 49ers - Colin Kaepernick needs to play a lot better if they want to make the playoffs.

12. Lions - Great win vs. Chicago. Matthew Stafford needs to keep finding options other than Calvin Johnson.

13. Chargers - Strong win in Baltimore solidifies their late playoff push.

14. Dolphins - Not a pretty win vs. the Jets, but Ryan Tannehill continues to improve, particularly in crunch time.

15. Bengals - Awful win vs. the Buccaneers. Can't afford any more games like that.

16. Saints - Finally a win on the road (in Pittsburgh, no less), and did it without Jimmy Graham catching a single pass!

17. Browns - Is it Money Manziel time? Brian Hoyer is not helping his case with all the turnovers lately (6 INTs in last three games).

18. Steelers - Le'Veon Bell was the lone bright spot in their loss to the Saints. Need to play better on defense.

19. Bills - This defense continues to create turnovers and hand their offense great field position.

20. Rams - Scoring update: The Rams just scored another touchdown against the Raiders.

21. Vikings - Teddy Bridgewater continues to improve, as does this defense, which should be great next year.

22. Texans - J.J. Watt has more TDs than Andre Johnson, and that's not a good thing.

23. Falcons - Julio Jones lets his play do the talking, even without Roddy White.

24. Jets - So the question is, will Rex Ryan be on TV next year or on the sidelines? Certainly won't be with the Jets.

25. Titans - Zach Mettenberger taking some serious lumps behind a banged-up offensive line.

26. Bears - This whole team looks bad.

27. Giants - Lost to Jacksonville with a 21 point lead ... enough said.

28. Panthers - Can't get out of their own way. Two blocked punts for touchdowns?  Really?

29. Redskins - RG3 sits and the whole team gets exposed, although Colt McCoy played pretty well.

30. Jaguars - Strong fight vs. the Giants. Their future should be bright.

31. Buccaneers - Gotta admit, I'm still liking those new uniforms.

32. Raiders - Vacation coming right up!
