Drew Brees says young skill players 'are going to be household names'
Drew Brees doesn't seem to care who's on his team or who he's throwing the ball to. The man always remains confident and sees the best in the group that he has working with him. The 2015 offseason has been no different, and according to Joel A. Erickson of The Advocate, Brees thinks very highly of his newest group of young players.
“I’m excited about all of these guys, I think all of them are chomping at the bit for an opportunity,” Brees told ESPN Baton Rouge on the Culotta & Prince show this morning. “In many cases, you don’t know these guys names yet, and yet I think some of these guys are going to be household names pretty quick.”
As Erickson points out, a few of those players who may become "household names," include the likes of tight end Josh Hill and wide receivers Nick Toon, Brandon Coleman, Seantavius Jones and Joe Morgan, just to name a few.
It's definitely going to be interesting to see things shake out in New Orleans, but Brees will have plenty of time to work with these young receivers, along with veterans Marques Colston and Ben Watson and second-year receiver Brandin Cooks.
