Drew Brees' stats in prime-time home games makes MNF a must-watch game

When the New Orleans Saints and Drew Brees welcome the Detroit Lions to the Superdome for Monday Night Football, it's a pretty safe bet that the home crowd is going to be tough to drown out. Apparently, the veteran quarterback for the Saints must like it that way, as he's been simply stellar in his career when playing prime time games on his home field.

According to Jamey Eisenberg of CBS Sports, in the last 17 times the Saints have hosted a home game in prime time, Brees has been out of this world. He's passed for 5,671 yards, 52 touchdowns and has thrown just five interceptions.

As Eisenberg explains, that's an average of over 333 yards, three touchdowns and just 0.3 interceptions per game.

Expect Brees to slow down against the Lions? It's probably not a safe bet. Over his past six games, Brees has hit double-digit touchdowns in all but one, and has thrown 17 touchdowns over that span.
