The team is hoping Matthews will be ready for the all-important Week 3 preseason game, which is against the Colts. Despite the setback, Pederson said Matthews suffered no structural damage to his knee when he initially tweaked it last week.
Initially, Pederson thought Matthews' injury would be more of the day-to-day variety.
“Everything is fine with Jordan Matthews, just going to be sore for a couple of days,” Pederson said Friday.

Matthews, a third-year wideout, was the Eagles' most productive receiver in 2015, posting career highs in receptions (85) and receiving yards (997) while matching his rookie total with eight touchdowns. Philadelphia is looking to bounce back from a 7-9 season, and brought in Pederson to replace Chip Kelly in the offseason.
