Eagles win coin toss, will pick ahead of Colts in NFL Draft

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Indianapolis Colts on Friday in the only offseason game that matters: the draft order coin toss.

The two teams were jockeying for the 14th pick in the April 27-29 NFL Draft due to the fact both the Colts and the Vikings had the same record (8-8) and strength-of-schedule tie-breakers couldn’t settle the issue. The Eagles acquired the pick from Minnesota in last year’s Sam Bradford trade after sending away their own pick (No. 12) as part of the deal to acquire the rights to draft Carson Wentz in 2016.

The coin flip took place at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, but home-field advantage didn’t help the Colts a bit.
