Eli Manning offers Odell Beckham Jr. advice on how to deal with the refs
Despite finishing with 10 catches and 100 receiving yards, Odell Beckham Jr. was not pleased with the officiating in the New York Giants’ 24-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
After the game, Beckham said one of the officials told him to “get out of my face” when the Pro Bowl wideout complained about an offensive pass-interference call. Beckham was so upset with the officiating Sunday that he told reporters that Terry McAulay’s crew shouldn’t be assigned to Giants games going forward.
Sunday was not the first time Beckham hasn’t seen eye to eye with the officials, and Eli Manning believes his wide receiver needs to adjust his approach to the refs.
“He’s got to be careful,” Manning said while on WFAN 660 on Monday. “With officials, you want to kill them with kindness.”
We’ll see if Beckham listens to Manning’s advice when the Giants take on the Cowboys on Sunday night.
