The Buffalo Bills have promoted defensive end Ikemefuna Enemkpali to their active roster and he will serve a four-game suspension for punching New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.

Enemkpali was promoted from Buffalo's practice squad. FS1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reports that Enemkpali will not appeal his suspension.

Enemkpali joined the Bills off waivers one day after the incident and was released by Buffalo on Sept. 4. He was signed to Buffalo's practice squad on Monday.

To make room for Enemkpali, the Bills released defensive tackle Andre Fluellen. Buffalo also added defensive end Cedric Reed to the practice squad and reached an injury settlement with receiver Deonte Thompson.
