Ezekiel Elliott Does the 'O-H-I-O' Arm Signal Versus the Browns

Ezekiel Elliot let everyone know where he is from, O-H-I-O.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott A.K.A. Zeke has been nothing short of spectacular thus far in his rookie season. The former Ohio State star is the NFL‘s leading rusher through week nine weeks of the NFL season, and he also leads the league in yards after contract.

Aside from Elliott, Ohio State is well represented in the National Football League. In fact, you can find a former Buckeye on 24 of the NFL’s 32 teams.

But never in all of my days have I seen Ohio State better represented than when Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott signaled “O-H-I-O” with his arms after diving for a touchdown versus the Browns.

Elliott appeared to be stopped at the three yard line, but he powered through the tackle, while somehow keeping his feet inbounds and stretching the football over the corner pylon of the endzone.

The score was the Alton, Illinois native’s sixth touchdown of the season, and he made it look so easy. The frustrating thing about defending him is that you think you have him down, but then he just bulldozes over you for extra yardage.

You go from being the tackler to the one being tackled. There were so many times in the game where you thought Zeke was going to be stopped at the line of scrimmage, but he turned it into a five or six yard gain.

Mr. Elliott has made a career of doing that, and that’s why I miss when he was at Ohio State so much. Thankfully, I get to see him suit up for my favorite NFL team in the Dallas Cowboys, and the thought that they could be one of the top Super Bowl contenders literally brought tears to my eyes.

Especially when one of my favorite Ohio State players of all time is a big reason why they are atop of the NFC East standings and share the best record in the NFL with the New England Patriots.

Ezekiel Elliott is a big factor to the Cowboys’ success, and he won’t hesitate to tell you where he was coached at before he became such an integral part of America’s team. And that is THE Ohio State University.
