Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 10: RB Bilal Powell
Heading into Week 10 Fantasy Football, owners might want to stay away from running back Bilal Powell since his partner in crime will shine this week.
Unfortunately for running back Bilal Powell of the New York Jets, 2016 will be considered a disappointment. Whether it’s due to his situation as mostly a backup or that he’s been misused tremendously by the Jets, his fantasy football value continues to plummet. Owners shouldn’t trust him to do much this week due to everything the guy above him on the depth chart brings to the table.
Keep in mind, Powell is a decent player that brings some nice dual-threat capability on offense. Problem is, running back Matt Forte has been red-hot these past few weeks. Forte has scored four touchdowns the past three games and will continue his streak.
Last week, the Jets had a golden situation to really pound the rock against the Miami Dolphins. Needless to say, they didn’t and relied too heavily on their passing game. The Jets lost to the Dolphins and will do their best to bounce back in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.
It makes sense for the Jets to really have a heavy run-oriented attack this week against the Rams but it’ll mostly feature Forte. Considering the Jets also recently picked up running back C.J. Spiller, they’ll more than likely use him more than Powell.

Fantasy football owners should consider sitting Powell this week as he’ll once again continue getting lost in the shuffle. It’s best to hit the waiver wire and hope to grab another option at running back that would see more reps coming their way.
Overall, there is no guarantee Powell will even see a chunk of time on the playing field since the Jets will more than likely give Forte 25-35 reps. Spiller might even see 10+ reps as well since the Jets didn’t sign him just to stand on the sideline. It’s best to sit Powell this week.
