Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 10: WR Quincy Enunwa

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Heading into Week 10 Fantasy Football, wide receiver Quincy Enunwa is too inconsistent to trust against the Los Angeles Rams. He should sit this week in your starting lineups.

Wide receiver Quincy Enunwa is unfortunately tied to the performance of his quarterback. When your quarterback is Ryan Fitzpatrick, it’s easy to see why Enunwa has also suffered this season. There is no questioning his talent or unique skill-set but when your quarterback lacks the arm strength and football IQ to get the job done, it’s hard to trust a player in fantasy football. Should owners even consider starting Enunwa in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams?

There is a lot of uncertainty when it comes to the current quarterback situation of the New York Jets. Fitzpatrick has been abysmal throughout the regular season and is also dealing with an MCL knee injury.

Considering that Fitzpatrick is a game-time decision by head coach Todd Bowles, should make fantasy football owners look in another direction this week when thinking about Enunwa. Last week against the Miami Dolphins, Enunwa only totaled one reception for just 25 yards.

Since the Jets will more than likely launch a potent rushing attack against the Rams this week, Enunwa will undoubtedly suffer when it comes to his reps. Fantasy football owners are advised to sit Enunwa this week and go with another option at wide receiver.

Enunwa isn’t even a WR2 or FLEX option this week since there is no guarantee Fitzpatrick will even be starting. Even if he was, would you really feel confident starting Enunwa with a banged up Fitzpatrick? Or worse yet, a quarterback in Bryce Petty who has never started an NFL game before in his career?

The cons outweigh the pros in Week 10 as it’s best to sit Enunwa or work the waiver wire for any other wide receiver with a decent matchup. Now isn’t the time in the fantasy season to let hope cloud judgment as every position counts, especially if you’re in the playoff hunt.
