Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 13: QB Ryan Fitzpatrick

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

Heading into Week 13 Fantasy Football, owners should not consider starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick since he’s the very definition of inconsistency.

Make no mistake about it, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is as inconsistent as they come. One week he’ll put up a decent fantasy football performance then the next one continues adding to his turnover column.

Heading into Week 13, the New York Jets welcome the Indianapolis Colts to MetLife Stadium. It’s not just any other game as it will be nationally televised on Monday Night Football. During prime time games, the Jets tend to fold and well, Fitzpatrick is best left on your fantasy football bench this week.

Don’t let his performance last week against the New England Patriots fool you, he’s one of the worst quarterbacks playing in the NFL today. He doesn’t have enough arm strength and tends to make erratic decisions when pass rushers are coming to take him down.

Fantasy football owners would be wise to bench him this week in favor of another quarterback with a favorable matchup. While the Colts also have some issues on their defense, it’s the Jets we’re talking about. Remember, they are 3-8 and at the bottom of the AFC East for a reason.

More from The Jet Press

There is no questioning Fitzpatrick’s determination to win football games but the time has come for either him to call it quits or think about life on another team. It’s highly unlikely the Jets bring back Fitzpatrick next season since he’s been such a massive disappointment.

Knowing how the Jets operate, they will more than likely continue starting him from here on out and let this ship continue to sink. The Jets are a disaster this season as fantasy football owners should stay far away from Fitzpatrick this week.
