Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 13: RB Bilal Powell
Heading into Week 13 Fantasy Football action, owners should sit running back Bilal Powell since he’s been a non-factor for most of this season.
The New York Jets are one of the most dysfunctional teams in the NFL. From their blind loyalty to quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to their defensive secondary’s inability to stop anyone, this season has been a disaster. When it comes to fantasy football, it’s also the same atrocious results. Should fantasy football owners even consider starting running back Bilal Powell?
In the grand scheme of things, Powell much like the Jets in general, has been a massive disappointment this season. Their offense can’t get the job done at all and even in goal line situations, always fall flat.
Last week against the New England Patriots, Powell once again didn’t do much of anything. He totaled 36 rushing yards on eight attempts and one reception for just seven yards. It’s not really a knock on him but more of the offensive system he’s a part of with the Jets.
Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey is losing his touch and is so bad, his time should be coming to an end on the Jets. It would be shocking to see Gang Green bring him back next year but at this point in time, he’s not getting the job done at all.

For whatever reasons, the Jets feel they can win more football games with Fitzpatrick under center and passing it more often than not. Needless to say, it hasn’t been working since the Jets are 3-8 for a reason.

Overall, sit Powell this week. He won’t do much of anything this week against the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football and is an easy sit in Week 13 action.
