For Green Bay Packers OLB Julius Peppers, it's Super Bowl or bust
Veteran pass-rusher Julius Peppers got a taste of the Super Bowl early in his career. His second NFL season ended with a 32-29 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVIII. The former Carolina Panther hasn't been back to the big game since.
After eight seasons with the Panthers followed by four seasons with the Chicago Bears, Peppers is now going into his second season as an outside linebacker with the Green Bay Packers. Now going into his 14th year, the focus has never been clearer for Peppers, according to Tyler Dunne of the Journal Sentinel.
"Win. Win," Peppers told the Journal Sentinel. "That's it. There's nothing else to do but to win.
"I think I can speak for everybody in here—it's all about winning. That's all we want to do."
Last season's meltdown of a loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship was more painful for Green Bay's seasoned veterans than it was for the young contributors, who could still make several postseason appearances in years to come. At 35 years old, Peppers is only concerned with the immediate future.
"We're looking forward," Peppers said, per the. "Nobody's looking back. We're already past that."
