Fox: Bears WR White did 'everything in his power to play' in 2015

Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White didn't want to miss his entire rookie year. On Wednesday, head coach John Fox said the No. 7 overall pick made every effort to make his NFL debut in 2015.

Via the Bears' official Twitter account:

During a three-week practice window, the Bears did not see enough out of White (shin) to give him a shot this year. On Tuesday, they decided to keep him on the physically unable to perform list -- where he has spent the entire season -- instead of activating him for the last three games. White will have to wait until next year to get a taste of NFL game action.

White is a 6-foot-3, 217-pound field-stretcher and could be an integral part of Chicago's offense next season. If Alshon Jeffery is not retained in free agency next spring, the West Virginia product will have to step up as the Bears' No. 1 wide receiver without any previous experience.
