Giants' Ben McAdoo showed team a 'Step Brothers' clip to prepare them for bully Ravens
New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is straightforward and focused, but he does have a sense of humor, too.
As New York is preparing for a battle on Sunday against a Baltimore Ravens squad that leads the league in rushing defense, McAdoo wanted to convey that they're in for a very physical contest. So he used a scene from the Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly-led comedy "Step Brothers" to illustrate the point. Here's the scene McAdoo showed at a team meeting (warning: contains explicit language):
“Basically he said was, ‘They’re gonna try to come in and try to bully us,’" receiver/returner Dwayne Harris said, via the New York Post's Steve Serby. “We’re at our house, and we gotta come out and just play like it’s our house.”
Unfortunately for Brennan (Ferrell) and Dale (Reilly), they ended up licking the poop and getting their heads smashed under a see-saw. Although center Weston Richburg recalled that "Will Ferrell goes back later in the movie and beats up the kids that made him eat the dog poop."
The Giants can ill afford to lose a fourth straight and fall to 2-4 in the NFC East or they may soon be watching scenes from "Bad News Bears."
