Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul injures hand in fireworks accident

New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a hand injury in a fireworks accident on Saturday night, FOX Sports 1 NFL insider Mike Garafolo confirmed.
Pierre-Paul is expected to meet with doctors, but early indications are the injury is not career-threatening, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. It may not even be game- or season-threatening, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Garafolo reported that Pierre-Paul has burns on his hand and there's possible nerve damage but his hand is intact.
Pierre-Paul, 26, still hasn't signed his $14.8 million franchise tender.

The two-time Pro Bowler is entering his sixth season with the Giants.
