Giants punter Brad Wing says Panthers legitimately threatened Odell Beckham Jr.
The whole Odell Beckham Jr.-Josh Norman battle has stretched far beyond the two players.
The latest developments claim the Carolina Panthers used homophobic slurs and threatened Beckham's life during pregame warm-ups, all centered around a baseball bat brought onto the field by the Panthers.
The Panthers bring the baseball bat onto the field as a tribute to defensive back Bene Benwikere, who broke his leg earlier this month. The bat symbolizes the phrases "bringing the wood" and "hitting a home run," mantras for the unbeaten Carolina team.
But Panthers practice-squad player Marcus Ball may have taken the bat a bit too far. Take a look at this video showing Beckham yelling something toward the Panthers, and Ball, carrying the bat, getting in Beckham's face.

That's New York Giants punter Brad Wing separating the two sides. And he was recently asked about the exchange between Beckham and Ball, and he said the threats against Beckham were legitimate. He didn't, however, hear any sort of homophobic slur.
Ball had a, well, interesting response to Wing's comments.
Now, Wing may be a bit biased, but it does seem a bit odd that a player would menacingly step towards Beckham with a baseball bat in his hand.
The NFL thought so, too. It sent out a memo across the league reminding teams that no foreign objects are allowed on the field. Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera wasn't particularly thrilled about that memo.
Beckham's one-game suspension was upheld on Wednesday.
