Glazer: DeMarco Murray 'detaching' himself from rest of Eagles
The feuds between current and former Eagles running backs are dominating the storylines as the Eagles and Bills get set to play this week, but DeMarco Murray's current role is one that may continue to decrease, according to FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer.
Murray, a high-priced free-agent signing from the Cowboys, has been largely ineffective this year, after last Sunday's stunning win over the Patriots, the disgruntled running back reportedly vented to owner Jeffrey Lurie.
Murray had eight carries for 34 yards, and has just 569 yards entering Week 14, a year after leading the NFL in rushing.
"What people don't know is that on the sideline of last week's game against New England ... (the Eagles) viewed DeMarco Murray as pouting and detaching himself from the rest of the team," Glazer reported on Sunday.
Murray may be playing himself out of Philadelphia, which has utilized Ryan Mathews more than Murray. That's because of Murray's style, according to Glazer.
"The Eagles view him and his style as just not as good a fit as the other running backs that they have and that's why his playing time will continue to decrease."
All this as former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy returns to town with this drama.
