Gurley, Donald, Hekker earn Pro Bowl selections for Rams
St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley was named to the Pro Bowl on Tuesday night.
Gurley, one of three players to have rushed for more than 1,000 yards, was selected along with Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and punter Johnny Hekker.
The 10th overall pick in this year's draft, Gurley opened his career in record-setting fashion by becoming the only running back to rush for at least 125 yards in each of his first four starts. He is the first offensive player for the Rams to earn Pro Bowl honors as a rookie since Jerome Bettis (1993).
Donald, who also was named to the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2014, made it 2-for-2 with a magnificent sophomore campaign. Donald leads all defensive tackles with 11 sacks and has registered 20 in 29 career games.
Hekker also earned his second trip to the Pro Bowl, following his selection in 2013. The fourth-year punter is averaging a career-best 48.3 yards on 85 punts, which is a career high with two games remaining.
