How $5 can win you Panthers season tickets for 20 years
The North Carolina Education Lottery is offering a prize that football fans will absolutely love. On Tuesday, it was announced that the grand prize for a $5 scratch-off game will be season tickets for the Carolina Panthers … for 20 years.
That’s a sweet deal for any football fan who would love to see Cam Newton play for the rest of his time in Carolina. It’s probably not worth more than the three prizes of $200,000 up for grabs.
According to the Panthers website, the most expensive season tickets go for $4,500. Multiply that by 20 years and it comes out to $90,000 – not even half the amount of the secondary prize. That’s assuming the prize is for one ticket per game, not two.
Still, there isn’t a Panthers fan who wouldn’t love to win 20 years of game tickets. A check for six figures would be a little bit nicer, though.
