Is there anything Vikings' Harrison Smith can't do?

Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith might be the most complete defensive back in the entire NFL.

That's not hyperbole; Smith has the stats to back it up. Since his rookie season in 2012, the Notre Dame product is the only player in the league with more than 10 interceptions and at least five sacks.

Smith's fifth career sack came on a first-half blitz against the Vikings on Sunday, as he slipped past Minnesota's pass protection unblocked to bring down quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. By popping up in the offensive backfield, the versatile safety displayed his unique ability to make plays anywhere on the field.

Opposing offenses are taking note of Smith as an intimidating playmaker, but he's still searching for the national spotlight. Although he was a first-round draft pick (29th overall) and has met all expectations so far, Smith hasn't made a single Pro Bowl.

This season might be his best one to date, though. If he keeps it up, Smith should be invited to his first Pro Bowl by the end of 2015.
