Jack Del Rio wishes he could've changed one call from the Raiders' loss

Jack Del Rio took the Raiders job and spoke about playoff contention with confidence.

That confidence was missing when Del Rio instructed Derek Carr to kneel down to end the first half -- particularly in a game vs. Pittsburgh that could decide playoff seeding.

"As I sit here today, I kind of kick myself for not taking advantage of that," Del Rio told Jerry McDonald of Bay Area News Group.

Del Rio is right about being wrong. Carr is one of the hottest quarterbacks in pro football right now. Even with 29 seconds left, he should've tried to move the ball.

Perhaps Amari Cooper breaks free down the sideline. Perhaps Michael Crabtree gets behind busted coverage. Even if neither happen, Del Rio has a kicker at his disposal who can still nail 60-yarders.
