In Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Davon House became the latest in a long line of those who have tried (and failed) to slow down Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
The NFL leader in receptions, Jones caught nine passes for 118 yards and a touchdown with House covering him.
Atlanta got Jones involved early, with quarterback Matt Ryan completingthree passes to Jones on the team's opening drive for a total of 44 yards.
“(Jones) is a dynamic receiver. Dynamic,” Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said. “He’s going to win some. But I thought (House) challenged him on most throws.”
Jones' caught an 11-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, beating safety Josh Evans after House lost track of him after the snap.
In all, Jones was targeted 13 times on Sunday.
