Jaguars WR Lee makes season debut in win over Miami
After missing most of training camp with a hamstring injury, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee made his season debut in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Lee, who had been out since Aug. 5, got involved in the action early, catching a nine-yard pass from quarterback Blake Bortles for a first down on the second play from scrimmage. Later in the first quarter, he took a toss from Bortles and ran for 12 yards.
"That was pretty cool,” Lee said, per the Florida Times-Union. “(Tight end) Clay (Harbor) had a great block, so I was able to get some more yards.”
The second-year pro also had an 18-yard reception to start Jacksonville's game winning drive.
“It was good to see him back out there,” Jaguars receivers coach Jerry Sullivan said. “We limited him, but he did some good stuff. He showed good speed, and I thought he was calm and collected. I was very proud of how he played.”
