The breakout seasons for Jacksonville second-year wide receivers Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson continued in Sunday's loss to the New York Jets, putting the pair in elite company.

Hurns caught five passes for 122 yards and a touchdown, while Robinson caught six passes for 121 yards in the 28-23 loss.

It was the latest in string of strong performances for the duo, who are both on pace to record over 1,000 yards receiving.

Robinson has 707 yards receiving on the year, while Hurns is close behind with 635. Both have six touchdowns.

Per the Florida Times-Union, the pair are first teammates to have at least 600 yards receiving and six touchdowns through the first eight games since Randy Moss and Wes Welker did it for the New England Patriots in 2007.

Hurns credits offensive coordinator Greg Olson for installing a system that has allowed the receivers to thrive, along with second-year quarterback Blake Bortles.

Under Olson's guidance, the Jaguars have improved from 31st in the league passing last season to 11th this year.

"Allen and I love his offense,” Hurns said. “Blake feels the same way. Coach Olson is helping us a lot, especially with our communication. We can give him feedback and he listens and adjusts. We have a lot of flexibility in our offense and move around a lot. That’s what makes this offense so special. I knew it would be a fun offense to play in once I met him.”
