Jahri Evans sounds off on pay cut, says he's 'glad to be here'

For most NFL players, taking a pay cut isn't something that's often considered. For others, it's just part of the business. According to Mike Triplett of ESPN, Jahri Evans is one of those players who just sees it as part of the business after he took a pay cut for both 2015 and 2016.

"It worked out in the end. You know, it's part of the business, obviously. And I'm glad to be here," Evans told ESPN.

Evans also stated that he "still had two years under contract, so I never saw myself not being here." Regardless, it's great to see Evans take the restructuring of his contract in stride. More importantly, he's spent his entire career with the Saints, and it's obvious that he truly wants to finish his time in the NFL with New Orleans.

With so many changes being made around him, including Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills being traded, it's no surprise that he was a candidate to be moved. As Evans said, though, it really did all work out in the end and I'm sure Who Dat Nation is glad to keep you in the black and gold.
