Jamison Crowder Burns Up 85 Yards on Punt Return Touchdown (Video)
Washington Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder scored touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, and he’s found the end zone again after a quiet Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns.
The Baltimore Ravens struck first with a touchdown pass from Joe Flacco to Crockett Gillmore, but it didn’t take long for the Washington Redskins to fire back.
Jamison Crowder took a punt return and immediately accelerated with clear field ahead of him. The Ravens caught up, but they couldn’t bring him down. After squirming free, Crowder was off to the races, and the end result was a game-tying 85-yard punt return touchdown for the second-year standout out of Duke.

The Redskins needed that touchdown, because they haven’t been given many plays on offense to this point. Matt Jones has just one rushing attempt, and Kirk Cousins has attempted just three passes. None of those targets have went to Crowder, but since he’s scored touchdowns out of nothing twice this season, that should change in the second quarter and beyond.
After Dustin Hopkins missed the extra point under exceptionally windy conditions in Baltimore, the 3-1 Ravens hold a 7-6 lead over the 2-2 Redskins. Flacco has looked sharp with Terrannce West reeling off a big run to put up 60 rushing yards, so Washington’s defense will need to tighten up. That would help Cousins and the Redskins offense see the field more often.
Through the first four weeks, Crowder has been the Redskins No. 1 wide receiver in one respect, because he leads all WRs on the team with 28 targets. DeSean Jackson has more receiving yards overall, but Crowder has played a huge role, making Pierre Garcon a mere afterthought. That said, it is worth noting, in fairness to Garcon, that his catch rate has been higher than Crowder’s to this point.
