Jarvis Landry wasn’t going to be outdone by his former LSU teammate Odell Beckham Jr. Here is Landry taking a slant route for six for his Miami Dolphins.

Not too long ago, the LSU Tigers had a pair of explosive, albeit underutilized wide receivers. Odell Beckham Jr. now stars for the New York Giants. Jarvis Landry is an excellent No. 1 wide receiver in his own right for the Miami Dolphins.

On Sunday Night Football last weekend, Beckham took a simple slant pass from Eli Manning for the game-deciding 60+ yard touchdown to beat the 11-1 Dallas Cowboys. Landry wasn’t going to be outdone by his former Bayou Bengal teammate. Here is Landry finding pay dirt on this explosive 66-yard touchdown against the AFC East rival New York Jets in Week 15.

It didn’t take long, but the Dolphins started to assert their dominance over the lousy Jets. Miami looks like a playoff-caliber team in late December. The Dolphins can make the AFC Playoffs as a strong Wild Card team.

Miami will have to go the rest of the way without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill wrecked his knee in Week 14’s win over the Arizona Cardinals on a hit by defensive end Calais Campbell. However, the Dolphins do have one of the best backup quarterbacks in the business in the veteran Matt Moore.

Moore has played brilliantly so far and his teammates have definitely made it easier for him. The Dolphins signal caller has four passing touchdowns through three quarters. His fourth to Landry was by far and away his best.

Miami is going to be a tough team regardless of who they play and who their quarterback is. Landry was all kinds magnificent on that incredible touchdown to put the Dolphins up huge.
