Jason Pierre-Paul houses Josh McCown turnover (Video)

Jason Pierre-Pul did his part to help the Giants try to put the Browns away in Cleveland on Sunday.

The New York Giants have gone from a team that no one really gave much credit, to a team that some are now picking as a dark horse contender to make it to Super Bowl 51. A win in Cleveland on Sunday would keep them on pace to earning  playoff berth and keep them right behind the Dallas Cowboys, in case of a slip up with Dak Prescott.

But when you play the Cleveland Browns, the only winless team remaining in the NFL, you’re expected to win big. That wasn’t the case for the Giants, although they managed to kick things into high gear late in the game.

In true Browns fashion, mistakes cost them big whenever they sniffed anything remotely close to momentum. In the middle of what could have been a scoring drive, Josh McCown coughed up a huge turnover that immediately put points on the board for the Giants.

Jason Pierre-Paul was the recipient of the turnover gift from McCown and brought it back for a touchdown.

It’s been a rough go of things for JPP over the last year. He lost fingers in a fireworks accident in July 2015, an accident that many thought might cost him his career. That hasn’t been the case though, and he’s bounced back to be a major contributor to a vastly underrated — and expensive — Giants defense.

The turnover was a killer for the Browns. To put it into context, they were down 8-points at the time of the turnover, and scored on their next drive. That seems to be par for the course when it comes to crushed hope and missed opportunities with the Browns.
