Jimmy Graham 'practicing full-go' but Pete Carroll hasn't decided on Week 1 status

The start of the regular season for the Seattle Seahawks is just over a week away, yet they may be without one of their biggest playmakers.

Jimmy Graham has been recovering from a season-ending knee injury from 2015 and he still remains a question mark for Week 1. He’s been making good progress of late and is working towards playing in the opener, especially when you consider his practice schedule recently.

“Jimmy has been practicing full-go, and we’re thrilled about it,” head coach Pete Carroll said. “He is too -- he has had a lot of fun being back out with the fellas and all. He had a full week of practice, he’ll have another full week of practice, and we’ll just keep taking it day-to-day.”

An update will come next week, however.

“It’s a day-to-day thing to see how he recovers, but he’s doing great, and we’ll see what that means,” Carroll said. “We won’t know until late next week.”

In his first season with the Seahawks, Graham played just 11 games. He caught 48 passes for 605 yards and a career-low two touchdowns in what was a hugely disappointing year. He’s expected to be more like his 2014 self than the version we saw last year, which would be a huge lift to Seattle’s offense.
