Jonathan Vilma has some advice for Tom Brady about deflategate

Former New Orleans Saint Jonathan Vilma knows a little bit about fighting the NFL on a suspension. He also has some a tip for the now-suspended Tom Brady. His advice?

Lawyer up.

Larry Holder of NOLA.com points out that "Vilma, with his attorney Peter Ginsberg, led the charge against the league when it attempted to impose a season-long suspension upon the former Saints captain in connection with the bounty scandal."

Then came the fun part of Vilma giving some advice to the future Hall of Fame quarterback:

"I'd tell Brady to fight the emotion of defending himself publicly, lawyer up and begin to devise a gameplan to beat the NFL through the (court) system," Vilma told Ed Werder of ESPN.

Back when bountygate was still going on, Vilma and his lawyer not only got former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue to vacate sanctions against himself, but also those of Will Smith, Anthony Hargrove and Scott Fujita, as Holder points out.

The interesting part is on the horizon, as Brady is sure to fight the suspension. The question is, what will the outcome be?
