Josh Norman wastes no time turning his focus to facing Panthers next Monday
The Washington Redskins ended a two-game slide Sunday, holding off the Eagles to keep their playoff hopes alive. But when asked about next week’s matchup against his former team, Josh Norman couldn’t resist admitting to looking forward to the game.
When asked how long it would take the star cornerback to turn his attention to the Carolina Panthers, Norman said he’s “already there.”
"This will be a fun week,” Norman told reporters after Washington’s 27-22 win. “They know what time it is.”
The Panthers stunned the football world last offseason when they released Norman after the two sides couldn’t reach a long-term agreement. Norman, who spent his first four years in the league in Carolina, signed a five-year, $75 million deal with the Redskins in April.
Monday’s matchup will be the first time since the Panthers released Norman that he will get to face his former teammates. We’ll see if Cam Newton challenges the Pro Bowl corner.
