Julian Edelman makes surprise return to Patriots practice
New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman appears to be making great progress in his recovery from a foot injury.
On Friday, Edelman made a surprisingly early return to the practice field.
Rob Gronkowski also practiced for the second consecutive day, which has to make Patriots fans feel great, considering how brutal his knee injury looked a couple weeks ago. If you haven’t seen the video of the play where Gronk was injured, you can watch it here.

Edelman is highly unlikely to play against the Houston Texans Sunday, as he was expected to be out for the remainder of the regular season. However, it is a great sign that he is already in pads and jogging with his teammates. There’s a solid chance he will be back much sooner than anticipated.
