Karl Joseph is Wearing a Walking Boot
Oakland Raiders safety Karl Joseph left Week 13 with a left big toe injury, and was seen on Monday wearing a walking boot.
With left in the game, Karl Joseph suffered what would later be called a left big toe injury. During the TV broadcast, he was shown on the bench with his cleat off, and he did not return to the game.
Toe injuries can be very tricky, as the only real cure for them is rest. There isn’t exactly “toe rehab” available, so this is definitely an injury worth monitoring. Especially with Joseph being one of the handful of players who is consistent on a weekly basis.
Jack Del Rio thinks that Joseph has a chance to play Thursday Night against the Chiefs, which is definitely a great sign that the injury may not be considered that severe. But the same thing was said about Mario Edwards Jr. in the preseason, so let’s just see what happens.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Raiders sit Joseph, since the team doesn’t have to play again until December 18th, which will give them a 10 days until they have to suit up again. Plenty of time for Joseph to get rested and healthy.
