San Diego Chargers WR Keenan Allen appeared to do serious damage to his knee on Sunday, so we take a look at five waiver wire options if you own him in fantasy.

Keenan Allen waited a long time for Week 1 of the 2016 NFL season. After coming back from a lacerated kidney, Allen appeared ready to retake his place as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. During the Chargers game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Allen appeared to do some damage to his knee, and had to be carted off the field.

For his fantasy football owners, it was a sight they did not want to see. The odds are he was selected early in the draft, and with Philip Rivers as his quarterback, could have had a huge season. Here are five WR options to look at if you own Allen in fantasy football.

5. Terrelle Pryor, Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns have a brand new quarterback, and a brand new head coach in 2016, as the organization tries to turn the page. Quarterback Robert Griffin III has a big arm, and will be looking to get the ball downfield. He has some good speed guys on the outside, with one being Terrelle Pryor.

Pryor is a former quarterback himself, but he has made a nice transition to the wide receiver position. At least for the first four games of the season, Pryor is going to be getting added looks, due to the fact Josh Gordon is suspended. He has the big-play ability to score fantasy points in bunches, and should be available in most leagues.

The Browns likely are going to be in some blowout situations in 2016, which makes Pryor that much more valuable. Griffin is going to try and throw his team back into games, and Pryor will be his top guy for the next few weeks. His production will likely dip when Gordon gets back, but hopefully Allen is back by then.

Obviously he is not going to put up the kind of production as Keenan Allen, but he should get a fair share of red-zone opportunities. He is a big body, and has the athleticism to go up and get it. If you need to fill in the gap until Allen returns, Pryor is one to look at.

4. Kenny Stills, Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins plan to use Kenny Stills a lot in 2016, and he is someone who is available in nearly all fantasy football leagues. The second-best receiver on the Dolphins is DeVante Parker, but he has been battling injuries as of late. Like Stills, Parker is very talented but he is very inconsistent.

The Dolphins are hoping this is the year that Stills becomes a star, and he is worth a flyer if you own Keenan Allen. He should slide right in to the Dolphins No. 2 option at the position, and has gained the trust of quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Miami also has a new head coach, who has installed a system perfect for Stills’ game.

Stills had a nice preseason, and he has put together solid production in the past. In 2014, Stills had nearly 1,000 yards receiving for the New Orleans Saints, so the talent is definitely there. Jarvis Landry is hands-down the best option for Miami, but Stills could be in for a big year as well.

The 2016 is a make or break season for Tannehill, and if he is going to be successful, Stills is going to have to produce. Gase is a great offensive mind, and he will utilize all the weapons he has, with Stills being a big one. Keenan Allen is going to be tough to replace, but if Stills is available, he could be very productive for you each week.

3. Tajae Sharpe, Tennessee Titans

Tajae Sharpe is going to have a big season for the Tennessee Titans, so fantasy owners would be wise to pick him up quickly. For those who need to replace Keenan Allen for as long as he is out, Sharpe could become your WR1 before the season is done. The Titans have a nice young quarterback, and he will be looking Sharpe’s way early and often.

Marcus Mariota is heading into his second season as the team’s starter, and he seems to get better every time he takes the field. This preseason, the organization shipped away former top receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, making room for Sharpe to take control of the receiving corps. The Titans are going to be throwing the ball a lot this season, as they look to mix the pass with their stellar running game.

The Titans are definitely going to be better this season, and have a nice two-headed attack at running back in DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. As the team’s first option, Sharpe could be headed for over 100 targets in 2016, so grabbing him now is definitely the play. There is no reason the Titans cannot be competitive in the AFC North, so they should be in every game they play within their division.

If Sharpe is available, he instantly upgrades you at the wide receiver position. He probably was not drafted in your league, so grab him right away. Judging by his production in Week 1, this will be a nice pick up.

2. Tyrell Williams, San Diego Chargers

If you happen to be the unlucky one to have drafted Keenan Allen, expecting him to rebound from injury last season, Week 1 definitely did not go your way. However, there is another San Diego Chargers wide receiver with breakout written all over him, and that man is Tyrell Williams. Williams is likely not owned in your league, but that is going to change after Sunday.

Williams was already the second-best receiver on the team, after a nice preseason vaulted him up the depth chart. With Allen down, Williams will now assume the top spot in the pecking order, and has all the tools to be very productive. The Chargers love to play an uptempo game, which plays right into Williams’ skill set.

The Chargers are going to throw the ball all day in 2016, as they boast one of the best pure passers in the NFL. Rivers has already developed a nice relationship with Williams, who has gained the quarterback’s trust. Aside from Antonio Gates, Rivers does not have many options in the passing game, so Williams is going to get every opportunity to succeed.

Williams will not be available for long, so make sure you grab him immediately. Allen could be out a long time based on his reaction after being injured, so you need to get someone who is going to perform for the long-term. Williams will be that guy in San Diego.

1. Mike Wallace, Baltimore Ravens

The number one pickup if you own Keenan Allen in fantasy football is Mike Wallace. At one time, Wallace was considered one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, but he has been on a steady decline in recent years. Wallace signed with the Baltimore Ravens in the off-season, and is looking to resurrect his career.

The good thing for Wallace is Joe Flacco is back, as the quarterback was ready for Week 1 after an injury ended his season in 2015. Also returning for the Ravens is Steve Smith Sr., who like Flacco, saw his season end on the injured list. Adding a quality receiver like Wallace is only going to make the Ravens better, if he can be consistent.

Wallace wasted no time showing Baltimore Ravens fans what he can do, scoring a touchdown in the second quarter of their Week 1 match-up against the Buffalo Bills. The truth is, he is a downfield threat, and has not had the kind of quarterback who plays to his strengths. With Flacco, he has a guy who throws the ball farther than almost every person alive, so he will not have to worry about getting huge gains down the field.

Losing Keenan Allen does not have to destroy your season. These five players are going to have solid years in 2016, and they all should be available in your league. Everyone is going to be searching the waiver wire after Week 1, so make sure you jump on these players soon.
