Large number of players limited at Redskins practice
With the Washington Redskins playoff position already secured, the Redskins will opt to sit players who have a few bumps and bruises in their Week 17 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.
According to ESPN's John Keim, the following Redskins did not participate in Wednesday's practice:
LT Trent Williams, DB DeAngelo Hall, DE Jason Hatcher, S Dashon Goldson and CB Quintin Dunbar.
The Williams absence is particularly interesting. Williams sat out of practice because of a knee/foot issue. But if he was to miss Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Kirk Cousins could be without his top offensive lineman. Playing him without Williams, who would go up against the Cowboys' defensive end Greg Hardy, would be pretty risky.
Keim also noted that RB Matt Jones, LB Perry Riley Jr., WR DeSean Jackson, RB Pierre Thomas and C Kory Lichtensteiger were limited at practice.
