Leonard Fournette's Combine vertical leap is the second-worst by a RB since 2000

Former LSU running back Leonard Fournette has been projected as a top-10 pick in mock drafts, including our most recent one from Peter Schrager. But a couple of his results at the Combine have the potential to raise some red flags.

On Thursday, Fournette weighed in at 240 pounds, which was five pounds more than expected and is on the heavy side for the running back position. On Friday, Fournette recorded a vertical leap of just 28.5 inches — the second-lowest by a running back at the Combine since 2000.

Things improved for Fournette later in the day, as his 40-time clocked in at 4.51 seconds — the fastest among running backs weighing at least 240 pounds since 2003.

Fournette was limited to just seven games at LSU last season due to a lingering ankle injury. He skipped the Citrus Bowl in order to get healthy for the draft process. He finished the 2016 season with 1,034 yards and 10 TDs after posting 1,953 yards and 22 TDs a year earlier.
