LeSean McCoy expected to miss Bills finale against Jets
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan says running back LeSean McCoy is not expected to play in the team's season finale against the New York Jets on Sunday because of a right knee injury.
Though Ryan wouldn't rule out McCoy entirely, he said "it probably doesn't look real good." McCoy has not practiced since getting hurt in a 35-25 loss at Washington on Dec. 20.
The Bills promoted cornerbacks Bud Noel and Sammy Seamster from their practice squad to bolster an injury-depleted defensive backfield. Starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore and backup Ron Brooks are on injured reserve. Rookie starter Ronald Darby's status to play is uncertain because of a groin injury.
Buffalo (7-8), which is out of playoff contention, also signed tight end Manasseh Garner and safety Phillip Thomas to the practice squad.
