Chiefs are in a position to get their season turned around
The team lists at 2-2. The .500 record is well in front of the 1-5 starting record of last season. While in disarray, they are not nearly out of the race of the AFC West. the bye week will give the young players, who the staff has had to thrust into the lineup, a chance to recover mentally and physically. Players like Parker Ehinger, Tyreek Hill and D.J. White can catch their breath and be ready to take a step forward when they return to Kansas City.

Tyreek Hill, in particular, has seen a steady increase in his playing time during the first 4 games of the 2016 season. His speed is something Andy Reid may well be scheming for during the bye week.
Fellow receiver Chris Conley has firmly planted himself in the #2 wide receiver position. While playing just 2 snaps less than Maclin in Pittsburgh, Conley led the team with 6 receptions.
