Los Angeles Dodgers' Joc Pederson Wants Tryout with Rams
Major League Baseball is officially in its offseason after the Chicago Cubs won the World Series and Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Joc Pederson is looking for a job to hold him over until spring training starts in February.
Pederson reached out to the Los Angeles Rams on Twitter and asked if the team was interested in his services:
I miss football…can I get a tryout @RamsNFL something like Tebows? High school comparison Jordy Nelson #offseasonjob

The Rams, who are short at great options at the receiver position, answered Pederson’s request for a tryout and jokingly said they’d take a look at his film:
Our scouting department is reviewing the film now, @yungjoc650. That cool, @Dodgers? pic.twitter.com/W8xS3Jr8SR

If Pederson is anything like Green Bay Packers receiver Jordy Nelson, the Rams might want to give him a look. It was also nice to see the Rams ask permission from the Dodgers first.
Pederson was a star receiver at Palo Alto High School and led the Vikings in receptions, touchdowns and yards in his senior season. In case you’re curious to see what Pederson looks like in a football uniform, his old school shared a photo from Pederson’s football glory days:

When you look at Pederson’s background, you can start to see why he’s so good at tracking down fly balls in the outfield. He definitely pulls from his days as a wideout when roaming center field for the Dodgers.
While Pederson might be a solid receiver in the NFL, he should definitely stick to his day job. The Dodgers outfielder is a budding young star and finished last season with 25 homers, and career-highs in RBI (68) and average (.246). The Dodgers might have something to say about his moving to football, also.
