Marcus Vick faces slew of charges after Sunday run-in with cops
Marcus Vick is in trouble with the law again, according to reports out of Virginia.
The oft-arrested younger brother of Michael Vick was arrested Sunday and charged with various crimes, including an alleged assault on one of the arresting officers, according to NewsChannel 3 out of Hampton Roads, Va.
According to the report, police approached Marcus Vick, 32, after confirming he was wanted on a contempt of court charge. The report says he then pushed one of the officers into a corner and fled on foot, though police caught up to him quickly.
Court records show that he was booked on charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, destruction of property and obstruction of justice.
NewsChannel 3 says he was arraigned Monday morning before being returned to the Newport News City Jail.
Marcus Vick was a high school football star in his own right but didn't go on to the success of his brother Michael in college or the pros.
He did play in 24 games at quarterback for Virginia Tech, but extensive legal run-ins eventually saw him dismissed from the school.
He then declared for the NFL Draft but went undrafted in 2006. He did play in one game with the Dolphins in 2006 but wasn't brought back the following season.
