Miami Dolphins bring back tight end Dominique Jones
The Miami Dolphins have decided to use their open roster spot on Dominique Jones. Jones, a tight-end, spent his 2016 training camp with the Dolphins.

Jones narrowly missed making the final 53 man roster for the Dolphins after having an average and unispiring training camp. Still, his time in Denver with Adam Gase got him noticed and now, he is back with the club.

The signing of Jones is a reflection on the concerns of Jordan Cameron who suffered yet another concussion and missed Thursday night. Cameron’s exit in Cleveland was in part due to serious concussion issues that Cameron suffered while with the Browns.
Jones has a 4 catches on his NFL resume so anyone wondering if he will have the type of impact the tight end should have in Miami’s offense, won’t likely see it anytime soon. The Dolphins still can’t figure out how to use tight-ends in their passing game. Unlike most of their devisional rivals, especially the Patriots.
The Dolphins still have Dion Sims and MarQuies Gray on the roster so Jones factors in as being the 3rd tight-end which means he may not be activated on Sunday against the Titans when the Dolphins return home.
Miami is likely going to tinker with the roster throughout the season.
