Michael Strahan on life and football: 'You’ve never lived unless you’ve hit Tom Brady'

Hall of Fame defensive Michael Strahan made a recent PR push to promote his clothing line when he reflected on his playing career, specifically the joy of sacking a quarterback. The New York Giant-turned-TV personality sacked 64 different QBs during his career for a total of 141.5 (plus 9.5 in the playoffs).

One of those victims was New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, who Strahan bagged twice in the regular season and one time famously in Super Bowl XLII. On that play, Strahan sacked Brady for a 6-yard loss in the third quarter. Hey Michael, tell us how it really feels. Via WWD:

“You’ve never lived unless you’ve hit Tom Brady. Not just Brady but any quarterback.

“Like, you hit a guy, hit a grown man, and you hear the life and the breath leave his body. There’s something very empowering about that. Then, you hit Brady, you sack him and you land on Brady. And you get up and you’re, like, ‘Boy, I see what Gisele is feeling. You know, I just laid down with Tom Brady. That was cool.' "
