Move over, Brady: Peterson plans on playing 10 more years, too
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady snagged some headlines last month, when he said he'd like to play 10 more years in the NFL. Now, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is following suit.
This week Peterson said he, too, could see himself playing for 10 more years, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

That would mean, as Tomasson points out, Peterson would have to keep playing until he reaches the age of 40. Currently 30 years old, the All-Pro running back is pounding the rock just as hard as ever before. His 633 rushing yards rank third-most in the league this season.
If there's a back in the league that could play that long and remain productive, it's Peterson. His performances have bordered on superhuman throughout his career, even after a devastating knee injury in 2011 and a 15-game hiatus in 2014.
Peterson, the seventh-overall selection in the 2007 NFL Draft, has already eclipsed 10,000 career rushing yards. He has claimed two league rushing titles and made six Pro Bowls over the last eight seasons; it's tough to imagine what else he'll accomplish if he actually does play for 10 more years.
