NFL expert: Rams boast best defensive front in league
Heading into 2015, it could be argued the Rams boasted the best defensive front line in all of football.
After their Week 1 performance against the Seahawks, they left no doubt about that claim.
NFL.com's Chris Wesseling ranked the top 10 defensive fronts in the NFL and the Rams headlined the list.
Wesseling noted "(Aaron) Donald's transcendence and overall depth up front" that set that particular unit apart from everybody else.
Though players like Donald and Robert Quinn are likely the two most talked about Rams players along that intimidating front line, the team can also turn to guys like Nick Fairley, Williams Hayes and Eugene Sims -- guys that have more than proven they are capable of stepping into a bigger role.
In addition, Wesseling pegged Alec Ogletree's emergence as a boon to the Rams defensive unit, particularly its linebacking corps.
Both young, talented and deep, the Rams defensive front could be the best in football for the foreseeable future.
