NFL officially suspends Cowboys' Randy Gregory 10 additional games

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The NFL has officially suspended Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory for 10 additional games, the league announced on Thursday.

Gregory’s suspension will be tacked onto the four-game one he is currently serving. He tried to appeal the longer suspension earlier in September, but dropped the appeal. He will be ineligible to play until Week 16.

Gregory was suspended in February for four games after violating the league’s substance abuse policy, then was investigated by the league in July for another violation. The penalty for repeat offenses is a 10-game suspension.
