The New England Patriots continue to win regardless of who plays quarterback. On Thursday, the Pats defeated the Texans at home.

Regardless of who is under center for the New England Patriots, the team continues to win. Most Pats fans would have taken a 2-2 record without Tom Brady to start the season due to suspension, but the team has gotten out to a 3-0 start. Behind rookie Jacoby Brissett, the Patriots throttled the Texans Thursday night, proving they are once again the class of the AFC.

The Patriots defense was the story, shutting Houston out as they held the Texans in check for most of the night. Houston did not move the ball past midfield during the entire first half, as new quarterback Brock Osweiler could not get anything going. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick continues to show why he is the best in the business.

Despite the riots going on in Charlotte, North Carolina, the NFL plans to keep the Carolina Panthers’ home game on as scheduled. There have been protestors in the streets since Keith L. Scott was shot and killed by police outside of his apartment complex. The league is working on a Plan B if they need it, though the league is hoping to keep the game where it is.

The Denver Broncos have gotten out to a 2-0 record behind starting quarterback Trevor Siemian, despite the fact that he had never thrown a pass in an NFL game heading into the 2016 regular season. Despite the record, Denver wide receivers are frustrated, mostly due to Siemian’s ineffectiveness in getting them the ball. Siemian understands their frustration, and plans to continue to try to get them involved.

With Jay Cutler expected to miss time with a thumb injury, the Chicago Bears will turn to Brian Hoyer to be the team’s starting quarterback going forward. Now that Hoyer is going to be the team’s starter, the Bears needed another quarterback, and promoted Matt Barkley from their practice squad. Barkley was a former star at USC, and has appeared in four games during his four-year NFL career.

The Green Bay Packers have struggled on offense this season, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers is sick of answering questions about it. Speaking with media on Wednesday, Rodgers seemed irritated when asked about what is wrong with the offense this season. Rodgers fell short of telling people to relax like has done in the past, but he said there are flaws, and they do not know what they are.
