It’s been a rough go for the Buccaneers over the last couple of weeks. Not only have they been losing, but they have been doing it without some of their key players due to various injuries.

It would be nice to have Robert Ayers and Doug Martin back, wouldn’t it?

Well, the situation is getting worse. Take a look at this tweet from Tampa Bay Times writer, Rick Stroud:

He went on to make the correction that his shoulder was dislocated, not separated. Either way, it’s not easy to rush the passer and make tackles when you have problems in the shoulder area. Obviously, we will monitor this situation as the injury reports begin to come out in preparation for Monday night’s game.

This is not good news for the Bucs. With nine sacks over the first four games, they aren’t exactly lighting up the stat sheet with sacks and pressures. Getting to the passer is going to be important this week going up against the Panthers. If Spence can’t go it will be that much harder.

Let’s not forget about all of the current injuries. A loss of Spence wouldn’t sting as much if Robert Ayers was on the field, but he hasn’t been. The Bucs could control the ball more if Martin was out there, but he is likely out through the bye week. Luke Stocker has yet to return as well.

The Bucs need their guys on the field. This goes from bad to worse if Spence isn’t out there on Monday night.
